Polls
To track voter sentiment throughout the campaigning phase, the two campaigns each had a team of pollsters. The polls consisted of those made public before the Kickoff assembly, immediately after the Kickoff assembly, as well as in the middle and after the campaigning process. These public opinion polls were used to track public sentiment and to determine whether various campaigning strategies moved the needle in favor of their respective candidates. Any polls launched before the Kickoff assembly were strictly non-partisan, whereas the polls launched after the event were allowed to communicate partisan ideals. The final voter sentiment was determined by the balloting results, allowing the pollsters of both campaigns to evaluate the accuracy of their election predictions and analyze the effectiveness of their campaign’s messaging.
